Confessions of a Misunderstood Genius
Good people, bad things

The question keeps coming around: “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Bad people get what they want, because they aren’t afraid to take it, at almost any cost. But they will never get what they need. They’re happy when they’re young, but once they start needing more than a young piece of tail, etc, they quickly realize that life is about more than desires.

Good people, however, are almost never given what they want, but are always given what they need. I feel the biggest issue, however, is that we don’t always see it is what we need because we’re too caught up in what we want to see the necessities.

The best things happen to the best people, but we very rarely see it because we’re too focused on getting what we think we want, as opposed to what we need. Thus, I ask the good people in my life to pay less attention to desire, and more attention to what surrounds you. We may all find ourselves a little happier as a result.
